New Website for Collision Specialist

by

Project Goals and Planning

Collision Specialist, one of the most respected auto body repair shops in Nacogdoches, came to me with a desire to create a new website that would help eliminate much of the confusion that people have when dealing with insurance companies after a car accident. Glen and Crystal Hays, owners of Collision Specialist, also wanted the website to showcase some of their work and make it incredibly easy for potential customers to contact them.

Glen, Crystal and I met to discuss their needs and wants for the new website. They shared some examples of other websites they liked and what they didn't like. Afterwards, I had a clear understanding of their goals

Design and Development Process

After our initial meeting, Crystal provided me with several photos of the shop and multiple pages of information that would need to be available on the website.

It was vitally important that the website be just as easy to use on a mobile phone as it would be on a desktop computer. It also had to be very easy to contact Collision Specialist via phone, email, in person or via the website. Here are some of the features of the site that accomplish this:

  • fully responsive design - the layout of the website will automatically change depending on the size of the screen
  • integrated Google Map that pinpoints the location of the shop and can provide turn-by-turn directions
  • call button on the homepage that allows one-click dialing to the shop's primary phone number
  • custom-build contact form

Website traffic monitoring software was installed to provide clear insight as to how the site would be used and accessed. This will prove very useful in the future as additions and enhancements are made.

Project Launch

The website was published to coincide with some other advertising initiatives and has been working flawlessly since. It was a joy to work with Glen and Crystal on this project and I look forward to a long business relationship with them.

If you'd like to work with me on a website project, please let me know.
